Tracking back a few months, Nintendo revealed at a previous Direct presentation in partnership with Brace Yourself Games that a crossover title between The Legend of Zelda and Crypt of the Necrodancer is on the way to release later this Summer. Titled Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the Necrodancer , the title would hold a similarity to the Vancouver developer’s title with its roguelike dungeon exploration and rhythm-based combat.
Earlier this week at the recent E3 Direct livestream by Nintendo, it was announced that the upcoming title will be launching later in the week, leading up to today. The game is available now on the Nintendo eShop for $24.99. Watch the launch trailer for the game below:
Adding the twist for this specific title, players will have the choice between Cadence, Link, or Zelda to play as through the dungeon crawler’s story campaign. As protagonist Cadence enters the land of Hyrule, her along with the two notorious faces of the franchise must band together to defeat the latest threat to the entire kingdom.
As part of the E3 Nintendo eShop sale going on, Crypt of the Necrodancer has dropped in price from $19.99 to $3.99. This is a sale you do not want to miss out on; go here if interested on the 80% deal.
Cadence of Hyrule: Crypt of the Necrodancer is out now for Nintendo Switch.
